Egypt gives go ahead to look behind King Tutankhamun’s tomb to try and find grave of woman who may have been his mother
Subject
Description
Perhaps the most celebrated and widely recognized Egyptian artefact has to be King Tut’s tomb, however recent discoveries point towards another monumental findings not very far from Tut’s grave. Egyptian authorities have approved the preliminary applications for the use of latest controversial technology on King Tut’s burial site to prove the theory put forward by a famous archaeologist Dr Nicholas Reeves. Dr Reeves suggests that evidence suggests that there must be at least two more burial sites near King Tutankhaun’s 3300-years-old grave. What made Reeves’ theory interesting for enthusiasts and experts around the world was the suggestion that one of the tombs around King Tut’s grave could be the burial site of the most celebrated Egyptian Queen Neferneferuaten or Nefriti meaning ‘The Queen of two lands’.
